About Red Shoe Film

Brian Russell grew up in Connecticut, and then worked in business, business, business for what felt like forever, but in reality, was only 19 years (ONLY!) IN 2009 he accidentally started shooting and editing video. Over the next ten years, he became the go-to guy in Fairfield County for Corporate and Non-Profit Fundraising video production.

Along the way, he met some really cool people and had a lot of fun interviewing the likes of director/actor Ed Burns, the entire cast of SNL, Arianna Huffington and a host of other cool people, both famous and regular folks just like the rest of us. He also got to shoot an ESPN 30 for 30. Pretty great, right?

He still does all this pay-the-bills work, but in recent years has been writing and directing short films. This includes short corporate films … little pieces that are way more fun than the traditional talking head video, but allow an organization to make a point with actors and a beautiful narrative vision. And for fun, he has made a bunch of short films which have been featured in over 60 film festivals and won over a dozen awards. Recently he has worked with Tony-award winning Broadway veterans like James Naughton and Boyd Gaines, who have starred in his movies.

What does this mean? If you hire Brian, you will be working with an AWARD-WINNING FILMMAKER. Spielberg and Scorsese got nothin’ on Brian!

He has no idea how this has happened, but loves every minute of it.
